The argument misunderstands what organic certification is actually measuring. The certification is not primarily a claim about what remains in the bottle after distillation. It is a claim about the entire production system, including how the land was managed, how the grain was grown, what inputs were used in fermentation, and what was added after distillation.

Organic grain farming has real environmental effects regardless of what the consumer can taste in the finished vodka. Land managed without synthetic pesticides and herbicides supports different biology in the soil and surrounding ecosystem. That impact exists independent of what any individual bottle contains.
