- 1.5 oz FLORENA Citrus Vodka
- 1.5 oz Pomegranate juice
- 3.0 oz Ginger beer (quality brand — Fever-Tree or equivalent)
- 0.5 oz Lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 Szechuan Buzz Button, for garnish
How to Make It
Fill your glass
Fill a highball glass or copper mug with ice. Large cubes or a single large sphere melt more slowly and keep dilution in check.
Add the spirits
Pour FLORENA Citrus Vodka and pomegranate juice over the ice.
Squeeze the lime
Add fresh lime juice directly into the glass.
Top with ginger beer
Slowly pour ginger beer down the side of the glass to preserve the carbonation. Give one gentle stir with a bar spoon.
Garnish with the buzz button
Place a Szechuan Buzz Button on the rim. When bitten, it creates a tingling, buzzing sensation on the palate that transforms the next sip. Tell your guest what it is — the reaction is the moment.

Szechuan Buzz Buttons
Also called 'electric daisies' or Acmella oleracea flowers. Find them at specialty produce stores, farm markets, or order online. They're completely edible and safe — just dramatic.
Pomegranate juice
Use 100% pomegranate juice (POM Wonderful is reliable). Avoid pomegranate cocktail blends with added sugar, which throw off the balance.
Ginger beer heat
The spicier the ginger beer, the better the Gonzo. Fever-Tree Ginger Beer, Reed's Extra Ginger, or Bundaberg are all strong choices.
